Swaminarayan Temple Patdi (12 Km)One of the major tourist attraction is the Swaminarayan temple in Patdi. The temple i dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan.
Modhera Sun Temple (60 km)The 11th century Sun temple of Modhera is easily one of the finest examples of devotional architecture in western India. Built by Bhima Deva of the Solanki Rajput dynasty, with the aid of donations from the people, the temple features carved torana arches mounted on kirti stambhas (pillars of victory) as the entrances, a large rectangular stepped with 108 smaller shrines, an exquisite 52 pillared portico, beautiful domed central portion and a sanctum sanctoruim designed so that the sun light fell on the bejewelled statue of the God, specially at sunrise during the equinox. The exterior of temple is carved with traditional erotic scenes and images of many gods and goddesses, while inside are friezes from epics like the Mahabharata portrayed on the pillars.

Rani Ki Vav, Patan (100 km)Rani-ki-Vav, on the banks of the Saraswati River, was initially built as a memorial to a king in the 11th century AD. Stepwells are a distinctive form of subterranean water resource and storage systems on the Indian subcontinent, and have been constructed since the 3rd millennium BC. They evolved over time from what was basically a pit in sandy soil towards elaborate multi-storey works of art and architecture. Rani-ki-Vav was built at the height of craftsmens’ ability in stepwell construction and the Maru-Gurjara architectural style, reflecting mastery of this complex technique and great beauty of detail and proportions. Designed as an inverted temple highlighting the sanctity of water, it is divided into seven levels of stairs with sculptural panels of high artistic quality; more than 500 principle sculptures and over a thousand minor ones combine religious, mythological and secular imagery, often referencing literary works
Tarnetar ( 65 km)Tarnetar is famous for its fair popularly known as the Trinetreshwar Mahadev Mela held near the Trinetreshwar Mahadev temple. Villagers from all over the region, dressed in their colourful traditional costumes and exquisite jewellery throng Tarnetar during this fair. About 100,000 people belonging to various tribes like Rabari, Kathi, Charan, Bharwads, Koli and other castes come to the fair. The fair attracts a large number of tourists from India and abroad. In all, the entire area is full of vibrancy and rich folk lifestyle. It offers you calm beaches, old and rustic forts and palaces, magnificent landscapes and the mudflat desert areas.

Thol ( 65 km)Another bird sanctuary in the vicinity is of Thol. Situated in Mehsana district and about 40 km from Ahmedabad, this sanctuary has rich variety of wild fowls, flamingos, grey pelicans, black ibis and a profusion of other wetland birds.
Nal Sarovar ( 70 km)Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, comprising a massive lake and ambient marshes, and inhabited by migratory birds in winter and spring is a place worth visiting in Gujarat. It attracts over 210 species of birds in the winter, and harbours a variety of flora and fauna. Its migratory bird population includes Rosy Pelicans, Flamingos, White Storks, Brahminy Ducks and Herons. It is the largest wetland bird sanctuary in Gujarat, and one of the largest in India.

Bhuj ( 240 km)Bhuj is another historical city of Gujarat. The headquarter of India’s second largest district Kutch, Bhuj was established by Rao Hamirji in 1510 and was made the state capital by Rao Khengarji I in 1549. Bhuj is worth visiting for shopping rich handicraft material. From here, Bhuj, one can visit the largest flamingo breeding colony in the world.
Dholavira ( 250 km)Dholavira is one of the largest and most prominent archaeological sites in India, belonging to the Indus Valley Civilization Dholavira was an ancient metropolitan city. It is located on the Khadir Island in the Kutch district.

Mata Na Madh ( 350 km)Situated on the western side of Kutch, Mata na Madh is famous for its temple of Goddess Ashapura (satisfaction). The temple, considered to be 1200 years old, has its own importance in the hearts of Hindus. During Navratri, people from all over Gujarat come here and join in the festivities during Navratri. More than half of the devotees make the journey on foot.
Narayan Sarovar ( 370 km)Yet another famous place of Hindu pilgrimage and a wild life sanctuary, famous for Chinkara or the Indian gazelle, blue bull, spotted deer, wild boar and rich variety of smaller wildlife.
